Once you no longer want to accept new candidates for a job, you can close it. This will remove it from your public-facing job boards.
Closing versus Archiving
There are two ways you can remove a job listing:
Closing ends recruitment for the job and removes it from job boards.
Archiving removes the job from your active jobs list. It doesn't change the job's status.
Usually you'd close a job first and archive it later, once you want it out of your active list.
✅ Permissions
Depending on the action, you'll need these permissions:
Closing a job - Create and manage job permissions
Archiving a job - Archive jobs and view archived jobs permissions
If you don't have the right permissions, ask an admin to give you them or to close the job on your behalf.
Closing a Job
To close a job:
Click the ⋯ menu on the job.
It's on each job in the Jobs list, and in the top-right corner of the job itself.Select Close.
Click Yes to confirm.
This also closes any of the job's postings on external job boards.
The job will be moved to the bottom of the Active section and highlighted blue to indicate it's closed.
ℹ️ Note
You can close a job that's Open, Pending Approval, or On Hold (if enabled for your account).
Closing Filled Jobs
A job changes to Filled automatically once the number of hired candidates reaches its maximum headcount. If that number drops below the maximum again, the job goes back to Open.
We don't recommend closing or archiving filled jobs. Doing either overwrites the data used for reporting.
