What are stage actions:

Stage actions are new options with the workflow stage configuration which allow you to allow you to automate various actions when a candidate enters a stage. This includes automatically sending interview invites, questions, documents, and engagement alerts.

To use stage actions you will first need to have your hiring workflows set up. Please refer to this article on Hiring Workflows to get more information on how to do this.

Where can I find and configure stage actions:

The stage actions can be found and configured in two different places depending on how you would like them to be used. The first way would be via the manage jobs page using an already opened job role and the second way would be via the use of your hiring workflow templates.

  1. If you would like to set up stage actions for an individual job role then you will want to navigate over to "manage jobs" > Click on the job in question > Click on Edit > Edit Stages

  2. You will then need to click on the stage that you would like to add the action to, in this example I would like to add a stage action to my interview stage. Once you have opened the stage, you will need to scroll down to "Stage Actions" and click on "+Add Stage Action":

  3. You will then be taken to the page where you will choose which action you would like to run, in this case we are choosing "Send interview invite"

  4. Finally you will need to configure the interview by filling out the fields shown below:

  5. Once you have filled out the fields you will want to click on "Add action" and then Submit. Well done! You have created your first stage action :)

In the case that you would like to create the stage action for all jobs that use the hiring workflow, please navigate over to "settings" > "Templates" > "Hiring workflows" and choose the workflow that you would like to add the action to and follow steps 2-5.
