Creating and configuring interview templates in Pinpoint is essential for streamlining the hiring process. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create, apply, and manage interview templates across various roles in your organization. By setting up these templates, you ensure a consistent interview experience for both candidates and hiring teams, which can enhance the effectiveness and organization of your recruitment efforts.
What are the Parts of an Interview Template?
An interview template consists of various components that help structure the interview process. You can create multiple templates for different departments or roles, each tailored with specific instructions for candidates and teams.
Name: Determine how many interview templates you want to create based on your hiring needs.
Type: Differentiate interview types to enable appropriate functionality during the invite process. For instance, a Video Conferencing interview requires integration with a video platform like Zoom or MS Teams.
Face to Face will use the job location, or the location you enter either on the template or when configuring the interview.
Phone interviews assume you will call the candidate.
Video (external): Select this option if you are managing your video interviews outside of Pinpoint.
Video Conferencing (Pinpoint): Enforce the selection of a video conferencing provider (E.g. Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams) and host when scheduling interviews. Please make sure that the interviewing team has their conferencing provider connected.
Duration: Define the interview length, either as a single session or multiple sessions with different interview teams.
Instructions and Documents: You can attach instructions and documents like PDFs that will be shared with candidates and the hiring team during the interview process. If you want the interviewing team to fill out a form durring the interview, check out scorecards.
Split: If you want the candidate to meet with multiple teams or a panel sequentially, you can split the interview into parts. If you would like multiple candidates to interview with one team simultaneously, consider Group Assessments instead.
