In Pinpoint, you can switch on equality monitoring for any given job.
This allows you to view Equality Monitoring insights in your insights dashboard, that shows the level of diversification of your applicant base, and allow you to refocus your sourcing strategy to achieve your diversification goals.
When turned on a section is added to the job's application form which looks like this:
These fields are completely optional for the candidate, so they could choose to submit the application form without providing this information.
If you have access to our Talent Pipeline Feature (Pinpoint Light, Plus and Unlimited packages) you can enable equality monitoring for speculative applications too. Head to 'Profile' page under the 'Company' section in the main menu on the left an choose the 'Equality Monitoring' tab.
On this page you'll see the following section:
Here you can:
1. Toggle it on for all (meaning it can't be turned off unless you come to this page)
2. Toggle it on by default (meaning it'll be turned on, yet can be turned off at the job level)
3. Off by default (meaning it'll be turned off, yet can be turned on at the job level)
You can also choose whether candidates who 'Register their Interest' need to fill in this information.
Editing Equality Monitoring Questions
To make changes to the questions or options go to Settings on your left hand panel, then Templates then choose Equality Monitoring.
Select the template you wish to edit (you can have multiple to suit hiring in different locations, see more here). You will see the below screen:
Here you can hide certain sections. You can also edit the options by clicking on the name:
Please note: You cannot currently add new equality monitoring sections in. A workaround is that you can change the name of a section to something you'd prefer.
To add or remove the equality questions for a specific job click 'Manage Jobs' in the main menu on the left.
Locate the job that you want to turn on equality monitoring for and click the three dots to the right of it, then select 'Edit Job'.
In the screen that appears, locate the setting called 'Equality Monitoring' as shown below and tick the box. Click the green 'Update' button at the bottom to confirm your changes:
Once candidates start submitting this information, you can view the results from the 'Equality Monitoring' menu item under the 'Insights' section as shown here:
