Pinpoint's permissions system allows you to define which platform functions a team member has access to.
Most permissions are additive, so for example, your Administrators will likely have all permissions assigned to them, where Hiring Managers or Recruiters may only have a specific set of permissions assigned to them.
Some permissions are "Visibility dependent" - visibility dependant permissions, meant that the user will only have the ability to take the action controlled by the permission with Jobs and Candidates that they have visibility over.
NB -Available permissions may vary depending on your Pinpoint package and configuration.
Permissions are split into sections, with categories - a category may have multiple permissions attached to it.

FAQs
Are some permissions assigned to users by default?
Yes, every user will be assigned the Interview "Included in the interview team" permission regardless of their access group permission level. This is uneditable, and cannot be removed from the users permissions.
Which permissions should we assign to our Hiring Managers?
The permissions companies assign to their hiring managers varies widely based on company policy, preference and responsibilities of the hiring team.
a good starting point is
Create and manage jobs (So the hiring managers can create and edit jobs they are managing)
Configure and invite candidates to interviews - allowing the hiring manager to set up and schedule interviews with their candidates
Create and manage comments - allowing the Hiring team to leave comments on their candidates, and view non-private comments left by other hiring team members
Move applicants between workflow stages or jobs - allowing the user to move the candidate along the hiring process
Send and view emails & SMS messages - so your team can contact the candidates throughout the hiring process
Create requisitions (if using the requisition management system) - allows your hiring managers to request authorisation to create a new job/headcount.
