Using AI Fields
AI Fields let you quickly create yes/no custom fields that automatically generate AI-powered answers based on your prompts. This speeds up the review and sorting of applicants, saving you time on manual screening.
What are AI Fields?
AI Fields uses generative AI to answer custom yes/no questions about candidates based on their profiles, resumes, or application data. You can use them to identify key traits, qualifications, or experience at a glance. Before you start, make sure your account has AI Custom Fields permissions.
How do you create an AI Field?
You can add AI Fields directly to any job. Here’s how:
Go to the job and select “AI Fields.”
Open the job you’d like to edit, then click the AI Fields button at the top.
Choose to edit existing fields or add a new one.
You can manage current AI Fields or create a brand-new field from scratch.
Name your field and set the configuration.
Give your field a clear, descriptive name and choose the appropriate settings for the AI prompt.
Write your prompt.
Enter the question or statement that will generate the yes/no response (for example, “Does this candidate have SaaS sales experience?”). Check our article on how to write good prompts for AI fields.
Test your prompt.
Use the built-in test area to make sure the AI generates the responses you expect before saving.
Save your AI Field.
Once everything looks good, click Save.
View or filter results.
Customize your columns to display the new AI Field results, or filter candidates based on their AI responses.

Can I see why the AI made a decision?
Yes, by clicking on the answer the AI gave, you can see the reasoning behind the answer, as well as the prompt and relevant information that was given to the AI model
Once you click on the answer, an explanation is given. You can use this to adjust the prompt and improve your results.
