We’ve added new tools to help you run smoother hiring processes, communicate more effectively with candidates, and capture the details you need without extra admin. From the launch of Reference Checks to improvements in Onboarding and SMS automations, these updates are all about giving you flexibility and control.
Reference Checks
Reference Checks are now live in Pinpoint, making it easy to manage the entire process directly in the platform.
Request and manage with ease: Collect referee details from candidates, send requests, and track statuses all in one place. You can choose from free-form requests or use pre-built templates for employment, academic, or other reference types.
Streamlined communication: Preview and send templated emails to both candidates and referees. Each party gets a secure form to complete, and responses flow back into Pinpoint for review.
Built-in flexibility
Bulk send requests to referees.
Customize candidate and referee forms with additional fields.
Manage statuses like “Referee Details Received” and “Reference Response Received.”
Add references manually or include them in stage actions.
Control notifications, reminders, and unattainable settings.
Allow referees to decline if they can’t provide a reference.
Reference Checks are also available in Onboarding, so you can extend them beyond the hiring process.
Onboarding Enhancements
We’ve made updates that help you stay connected with candidates and manage documents more efficiently.
Candidate messages and documents: Candidate documents are now displayed in the Documents tab within Onboarding, and you can send SMS messages—individually or in bulk—without leaving the platform.
Start Date filter: In Onboarding v2, you can now filter by Start Date on the Open Stages page, making it easier to organize and track upcoming hires.
Small but Mighty
Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
SMS Automations: With a Twilio integration, you can now create automated SMS workflows:
Application SMS: Transactional messages tied to a job application.
Marketing SMS: Campaign messages to engage your talent pool.
Each automation can include variables, delays, and custom configurations.
Preferred Name field: We’ve added a “Preferred Name” field to job application forms, helping you personalize candidate communication and respect naming preferences from the very first interaction.
