November's feature release allows for better flexibility with interviews and easier customization with custom fields and templates, reducing the number of unused fields.
Scoped Templates and Custom Fields
Scoped templates and custom fields are a powerful tool that allows you to use a company's organizational structure to determine which custom fields or templates are available for use. This feature is especially useful for companies hiring in multiple countries.
Let's say you are configuring a job for a US-based position and need to include a US Bonus Field on the Offer. With scoped custom fields, you can choose to only show the custom field when the offer is for a US-based job. This helps eliminate unnecessary fields.
Similarly, when configuring an interview for different departments, you can choose to only show interview templates that are relevant to that department.
Alternative Interviews
Another useful feature is the ability to create 'alternate' interview templates for a specific interview stage. For example, you can now create an interview stage that defaults to a 30 min interview but has a 15 min and 45 min alternative interview. You can also use this feature to configure different interview templates for internal vs. external candidates.
Small but Mighty Changes
Alert team members to ‘stale’ candidates (a candidate that has been in a stage with no activity for some time)
Required application form fields will now have a * next to them (and a ‘required’ HTML tag for screen readers).
A new permission that gives the ability to create jobs for only the reqs the creating user has visibility over
Custom Javascript will now be possible in Onboarding
