Preventing an application from being submitted based on answers to questions

Create a seamless candidate experience and easily approach suitable applicants for future vacancies.

Written by Lia Bartosz

When you create a new job, you can add additional questions to the application form. These questions can form a part of your selection process, so you and any hiring managers involved can review each candidate's answers when deciding who to progress.

For example, you might ask "Do you have the right to work in this territory?"

Blocking applications based on answers

Pinpoint doesn't use a candidate's answers to automatically block their application.

We built the application process this way to support a positive candidate experience, because candidates who have a good experience are more likely to apply again in the future or recommend your organization to others.

A candidate who isn't right for the vacancy they applied for might be a strong fit for a future vacancy. Keeping them in your pipeline means you can quickly approach them about that new role, rather than losing touch with them after one rejection.

If you want to reject them after they've applied, you can use a handy filter to group candidates based on the answer to a question.

If you have a real need to reject people based on answers to your application questions, you can use our Workflow Automation system to set this up.
