Creating email templates is an efficient way to streamline communication and save time when sending frequent messages. This guide will walk you through the process of creating and managing email templates in Pinpoint.


How do I Create an Email Template?

To create an email template, you will first need to navigate to the Templates section in your Pinpoint Admin Screen. Follow these steps:

  1. Access the Templates Section
    From your Pinpoint Admin dashboard, look to the left-hand navigation and select 'Templates' under the 'Settings' section.

  2. Create New Template
    Click on '+ Create New' to begin filling out the email template form.

  3. Fill Out Template Details
    Complete all the required fields in the form to define your email template.

  4. Insert Dynamic Variables
    Use the 'Insert Variable' option to add personalized elements, like the recipient's name, into your email.

  5. Add Tags or Scope
    You can add tags that will be automatically added when the email is sent, or set the scope of the template so it only shows up in certain departments.

  6. Submit
    Click Submit to save your new email template.

After creating and saving your template, you can reuse it for future communications, enhancing efficiency and consistency.


How do I Edit or Delete an Email Template?

To edit or delete an email template, follow these steps:

  1. Email Templates
    Navigate to the email template page.

  2. Duplicate or Delete the Template
    Click on the 3 dots to the right of the template name to either duplicate or delete it.

By managing your email templates effectively, you can keep your communications up-to-date and relevant.


How do I edit default emails?

Standard candidate and recruiter templates can be edited but not deleted, as they are integral to core Pinpoint functionalities. These are emails that we send out as a part of other Pinpoint functions, like setting up an interview, or sending an offer.

You can edit any of these templates by scrolling down on the email template page, and clicking on the title to update it.
