Knowing where candidates have applied from, and identifying the best sources for your candidates can be crucial to your hiring process. It can help you to reduce hiring from expensive sources (such as Recruitment Agencies, or expensive job boards) or showcase which source to increase presence on.

There are a number of options for reporting on a candidates source

Candidate insights Hub

Every Pinpoint Platform has built in reporting functionality, in the "insights" section of the navigation bar

If you navigate to "candidates" under insights in the left hand navigation bar

You will see this"Applicants by channel" widget in the page

This report is clickable - if you click into the channel it will give you a further breakdown of the applicants by channel source.

You can also Filter this information, by clicking on the "Filter" button at the top of the page

The Report Builder

The report builder is not available in all packages - if your platform does not have access to the report builder, but you would like to discuss including Advanced reporting further, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

The report builder allows you to run a line by line report, showcasing the channel source and detail for each candidate.

If you click on "reports" under insights in the left hand navigation bar -

And then "Build a New Report" in the top right

And select "Candidates by channel" as the base report

You will then see the report already includes the "channel" and "channel" details columns on the left - but you can add additional columns if needed, and filters can be added towards the top of the report if needed.

You will then be able to see the Channel and channel details for each candidate in the report

The Insights hub

The report builder is not available in all packages - if your platform does not have access to the report builder, but you would like to discuss including Advanced reporting further, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

If you are looking for a more visual way to tailor your "candidates by channel" report - you can also use the "insights hub" to create a more tailored widget.

  1. If you click on "New widget" inside your chosen insights hub page

  2. Then select your Widget Style

  3. Then set the "Subject" as candidates

  4. And the property as "count of candidates"

  5. And "group by" as "Channel"

You can also add any filters needed too.
