Solving the "The LinkedIn Company ID returned from Apply Connect/RSC jdoes not match the Company ID originally used" error

Check how you can fix the error that comes up when trying to enable the ESC or Apply Connect from the LinkedIn integration page

When you enable LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC) or Apply Connect from the integration setup page, you may hit this error:

  • RSC - “Error enabling RSC: The LinkedIn Company ID returned from RSC does not match the Company ID originally used. Please contact support.”

  • Apply Connect - “The LinkedIn Company ID returned from Apply Connect does not match the Company ID originally used. Please contact support.”

This means your LinkedIn Recruiter contract is for a different LinkedIn Company to the one connected with the Pinpoint integration.

LinkedIn returns that other company, so the IDs don’t match and the connection fails.

To resolve this error, make sure your connected Company and Recruiter Contract are aligned. This means you either need to:

  • Connect the LinkedIn Company the contract is actually on - To do this, setup the integration for the correct Company ID.

  • Move the Recruiter contract - To do this, contact LinkedIn and ask to move the Recruiter contract the company you want to use in Pinpoint, then try to connect it again.

Once the contract and the connected company match, retrying the connection from the integration page should be successful.
