Send Behavioral or Cognitive Assessment to candidates

​The Predictive Index (PI) is a talent optimization platform that helps organizations better understand their employees and candidates through behavioral assessments and cognitive tests. PI Behavioral Assessment measures personality traits that influence workplace behavior, allowing businesses to predict job performance, improve team dynamics, and align people with roles suited to their strengths. In addition to the behavioral assessment, PI offers a Cognitive Assessment.


How do I enable The Predictive Index Integration?

  1. Add a new Integration
    Navigate to the Integration page in Pinpoint and search for "The Predictive Index". Click on the Add button.

  2. Generate an API Key
    In a new tab, use these instructions by The Predictive Index to create an API key.

  3. Save the API Key
    Add the API key to Pinpoint, and click Save.​ Once saved, toggle the integration to Enabled to being using it.

Now that you have the integration set up, you can use the instructions below to send users assessments.


How do I Send a Candidate a Predictive Index Assessment?

  1. Open the Candidate Application
    Navigate to the candidate's application. From here, use the three dots on the right to open the menu. Click on the "Send Predictive Index Assessment".

  2. Confirm and Send
    Select which assessment you want to send and confirm the candidate's information. If using anonymous screening, the test will be sent to the email they applied with.

  3. Check Assessments Page
    To check on the status of the assessment, go to the candidate's assessment page. You will see the status on the right.

  4. View Results
    Once the results are ready, we will email you with an update. When you click on the assessment title it will open up the side bar with a URL to view the results.


FAQs and Troubleshooting

Can I send a candidate multiple assessments?

You can create a new assessment multiple times for each candidate, but it will be reflected as a single person profile with up to two assessments (Behavioral and Cognitive) in PI. However, this will show as two separate assessments in Pinpoint.

What happens if I send a candidate the same assessment twice?

If the candidate already took the assessment as part of another role, we will pull their most resent results into Pinpoint.
